JAPANESE SATSUMA JAR WITH PIERCED METAL COVER AND SHIMAZU FAMILY CREST AND SATSUMA MARK - Meiji period (AD 1868-1912). A Japanese Satsuma koro with a pierced metal cover. The globular body painted and gilt with a continuous scene of Buddhistic deities between simulated brocade borders.
