EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI
Late Period, Ca. 688-332 BC.An ancient Egyptian faience ushabti of a mummified form, standing on a plinth. He is depicted wearing a tripartite wig and a false beard. The hands protrude from the chest, clasping a hoe and a pick, a seed bag is placed on the back. The mummified figure has six horizontal bands of hieroglyphs. Size: 90mm x 25mm; Weight: 30g Provenance: From a private London collection; Ex. B. Kickx and J. Peeters collections, pre 1978, Belgium.
