MEDIEVAL KHORASAN COPPER ALLOY EWER
Ca. AD 1100 - 1300.
A Medieval Khorasan inscribed copper alloy ewer from Khorasan with gilded decorations. The ewer has a cylindrical body, flat shoulder, and tubular neck culminating in an upward-angled spout and ear-shaped handle. The exterior of the item is extensively decorated with intricate incised decoration and calligraphy, as well as repousse decorative motifs on the neck handle with incised dots.
