NEAR EASTERN WOODEN COMB DECORATED WITH FLOWERS
Ca. AD 300 - 500.
A Near Eastern wooden comb decorated with blue and orange flowers. The teeth of the comb are uniform and the side panels widen at the ends. For similar see: British Museum Registration number 1912,0608.79.
Size: 100mm x 115mm; Weight: 33g
Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014, acquired from Roswitha Eberwein, BAAF 2011; formerly in Belgium private collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
