ANCIENT BRONZE SWORD WITH CRESCENTIC POMMEL
Western Asiatic/Aegan, Ca. 1200 - 700 BC.
A bronze sword with a long, tapering blade, a prominent mid-rib and a gracefully curved guard designed to ensure hand protection. The hilt is characterized by a shank of rounded cross-section, and the sword culminates in a distinctive crescent pommel.
