CAMPANIAN SKYPHOS
Ca. 350 BC.A Campanian skyphos adorned with a rich, chocolate brown glaze. The vessel has a wide tapering body ending in a flared foot. The beautiful glaze ends abruptly in the bottom third of the body, letting the original colour shine through and creating an interesting contrast. The vessel is fitted with two rounded, vertical handles on opposing sides.Size: 75mm x 85mm; Weight: 95gProvenance: Ex. Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, NJ., Dr. Arnold Saslow.
