SELJUK INSCRIBED SILVER RING WITH NIELLO
Ca. AD 1200.A silver finger ring featuring a flat-section hoop that expands dramatically towards the bezel. The hoop is adorned with low-relief decorative motifs and a niello design. The large hexagonal-shaped bezel is characterised by rounded protrusions at each corner, and it houses a central inscription framed with an ornamental niello border.Size: D:17.73mm / US: 7 1/2 / UK: O 1/2; Weight: 12gProvenance: Property of a London Ancient art collector, formerly in a Mayfair private collection of Mr. P.
