Western Asiatic, Ca. 1000 BC.Crafted from bronze, this axe head has a flat, slender blade that was used for a variety of tasks from cutting wood to harvesting crops. It also has a long shaft, allowing it to attach it to a wooden pole.Size: L:125mm / W:155mm ; 450gProvenance: Property of a North London gentleman; previously acquire on the UK/European art market in the 1970s.
