ACHAEMENID GOLD TUBULAR BEAD WITH FILIGREE
Ca. 550 - 331 BCAn exceptional Achaemenid bead which boasts a biconical elongated body adorned with finials. There is a central decoration featuring a filigree motif of triangles. These elaborate embellishments were originally crafted for inclusion in necklaces comprised of single strands of beads. Notably, the gold artefacts, particularly the beads, are remarkably similar to the gold items discovered in the Oxus Treasure, renowned as the largest surviving collection of Achaemenid precious metalwork.
