Middle Kingdom - Second Intermadiate Period, Ca. 2055 - 1640 BCAn Egyptian bronze dagger with a pointed blade taapering to a tip with a raised mid-rib, inserted into the separately-cast hilt and attached by rivets. The hilt features an arched guard tapering along the sides of the blade, while the openwork pommel flares to secure the oval openwork bone terminal, riveted in place.
