EGYPTIAN FAIENCE RING WITH HIEROGLYPHICS
Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 750-654 BCAn Egyptian bright blue faience finger ring with a flat bezel bearing a hieroglyphic inscription. The hoop has a D shape decorated with carved diagonal lines. The bezel is made using a clay mould and demonstrates the level of skill that the ancient Egyptians attained in working with faience.
