BYZANTINE BRONZE OIL LAMP WITH CROSS SHAPED HANDLE
Ca. AD 400 - 600A Byzantine bronze oil lamp, the body of which has an ovoid form with gently sloped shoulders; a raised tubular nozzle and a circular fill hole capped by a hinged large shell lid. A patent cross-shaped finial adorns the handle.
