Ca. AD 386 - 534A Northern Wei terracotta rectangular brick featuring a finely molded image of a monk, portrayed standing beneath a chaitya arch. The figure is shown wearing a long robe with intricately carved drapery, and their hair is held up by a headband and cascades gently onto the shoulders.Size: 330mm x 160mm; Weight: 3.2kgProvenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
