BYZANTINE SILVER STEPPED RING WITH LION - Ca. AD 1300 - 1400.A Byzantine heavy silver ring with a large D-section hoop widening on the shoulders to form an oval bezel. The ring is adorned with concave diagonal gilt lines, and the bezel is engraved with a stylised lion. The lion is facing right with a raised head and long tail.
