Late period, Ca. 664 – 332 BC.An Egyptian faience plaquette representing the god Horus in profile, surmounted a the disc representing the sun. The plaquette has a triangular form with green glazing. Originally this plaquette was intended to protect the mummy in the afterlife. The object has two holes in the corners and one on the back.Size: L:44mm / W:37mm ; 7.66gProvenance: From the collection of a London gentleman; formerly acquired in the early 2000s; previously in 1970s UK collection.
