Ca. AD 300.A Roman gold ring with an oval bezel engraved with an image of Roman Emperor Licinius, a colleague and rival to Constantine the Great. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with moulded volutes. This ring most likely belonged to a supporter of Licinius or perhaps a high-ranking member of his army.Size: D:18.14mm / US: 8 / UK: P 1/2; Weight: 11.8gProvenance: Property of a London Ancient art collector, formerly in a Mayfair private collection of Mr. P.
