LEVANTINE TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP WITH DOTS
Ca. AD 300 - 400.A Levantine terracotta oil lamp featuring a pointed oval body and a prominent conical handle. The lamp displays a large filling-hole with a pronounced rim. This is surrounded by an additional ridge which extends onto the nozzle and around the wick-hole, forming a straight channel. The shoulders are decorated with a wave motif. Size: 100mm x 75mm; Weight: 110gProvenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the German art market in the 1990s.
