HELLENISTIC POINTED UNGUENTARIUM
Ca. 300 - 100 BC.A delicate Hellenistic glass unguentarium, made from translucent, light brown-coloured glass. The bottle features a pyriform shaped body with a cylindrical neck, which tapers outwards to an everted, folded-over rim. The lower body of the unguentarium is bulbous and connects to a pointed base. The bottle has encrustations on both the interior and exterior of the walls.Size: 75-215mm x 15-30mm; Weight: 70gProvenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Jean-David Cahn Auktionen.
