KASHAN UNDER-GLAZE PAINTED CERAMIC JUG
Ca. 11th - 12th century AD. A glazed ceramic jug of cylindrical form atop a shallow foot, flaring slightly toward the base of the neck, with a narrow spout decorated with an underglaze of cobalt-blue on a white ground with a series of panels radiating towards the base of the neck and a band of cobalt circling the rim. Size: 220mm x 135mm; Weight: 690g Provenance: Previous property of a UK Islamic art professional.
