Ca. AD 1600 - 1700.A gold posy ring, featuring a plain, smooth band polished to a high sheen, with a rounded exterior and a flat interior. The inner surface bears an engraved inscription in cursive script reading "In part of requitall", possibly signifying gratitude or repayment for kindness or affection, as often conveyed through posy rings.Size: D:15.49mm / US: 4 3/4 / UK: J; Weight: 2.6gProvenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the UK art market in the 1990s.
