Late Period Ca. 664-332 BC. A stone amulet with fossil inclusions depicting a carved frog, representing the goddess Heqet, deity of fertility. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.Size: 25mm x 24mm; Weight: 11.26gProvenance: Private Collection; Ex. Curt Burgauer collection, Switzerland, 1970s-1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
