EGYPTIAN GLASS FACE INLAY
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A black glass face inlay depicting a profile view of a human head with a pronounced jawline and elongated chin. A deeply recessed eye is outlined with a raised contour, and the upper lid extends into a cosmetic line tapering towards the temple. The eyebrow is slightly arched and rendered in relief. A straight nose features a defined bridge and a subtly flared nostril. A well-defined ear sits slightly higher in relation to the eye. The underside remains flat.
