A PAIR OF LARGE EARLY ISLAMIC ROCK CRYSTAL BEADS OR VESSEL STOPPERS - Ca. 12th - 13th century AD. A pair of finely worked rock crystal objects of cylindrical facetted form. Each piece is meticulously carved and polished, with a central perforation suggesting its use as either beads, vessel stoppers, or components of a larger object, such as a rosary (misbaha) or an inlaid element in a high-status artifact.
