A GREEN GLASS FATIMID WEIGHT OR INLAY, POSSIBILY DEPICITNG SAGGITARIUS - Ca. 12th - 13th century AD. A green glass intaglio seal of rounded oval form, carved with a depiction of a centaur-like archer drawing a bow, possibly representing Sagittarius. The figure is shown in motion with limbs extended across the composition. The surface retains areas of earthen encrustation contrasting with the polished glass.
