EGYPTIAN TERRACOTTA FIGURINE OF CONCUBINE
Middle Kingdom, Ca. 1976 - 1790 BC. A terracotta female figurine with a slender body and elongated legs, standing with arms held close to the sides. The face is detailed with incised eyes, nose, and mouth, and framed by two rows of striated hair. The chest bears rows of black-painted dots, and additional bands around the upper arms.For similar see: Christie's, Live Auction 15501, Antiquities, 3 July 2018, Lot 8 (type).Size: 205mm x 60mm; Weight: 265gProvenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1990s.
