MASSIVE HELLENISTIC GOLD RING WITH AMETHYST CABOCHON
Ca. 200 - 100 BC. A massive gold ring with a broad, convex bezel set with a large oval amethyst cabochon in a plain collet. The bezel is smoothly integrated into the thick, tapering hoop, which flares towards the shoulders and narrows slightly at the back.For similar see: E. M.
