EGYPTIAN BLUE FAIENCE OFFERING VESSEL
New Kingdom, Ca. 1500 - 1069 BC. An offering vessel made of blue faience, with a conical body that widens towards a thick, rounded rim and rests on a slightly raised base. The surface is covered in a deep cobalt blue glaze with speckled lighter inclusions. The interior is left unglazed. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.Size: 34mm x 49mm; Weight: 31.8gProvenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
