CHINESE CERAMIC JAR WITH COINS
Song Dynasty, Ca. AD 960 - 1279. An earthenware storage jar containing a dense cache of Chinese bronze coins. The globular vessel, now partially broken, reveals a tightly packed collection of round coins with square central holes Size: 210mm x 180mm; Weight: 10.07kg. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
