CHINESE CIZHOU BLACK GLAZED YUHUCHUNPING VASE
Jin Dynasty, Ca. AD 1115 - 1234. A yuhuchunping vase in pear-shaped form with a waisted neck and everted mouth rim, the stoneware body covered in a rich brown glaze, carved through to a pale slip with a scrolling foliate design in the sgraffiato technique. Size: 290mm x 160mm; Weight: 1.11kg. Provenance: Private London collection; Ex Private Japanese collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
