CHINESE YELLOW-GLAZED IMPERIAL PORCELAIN BOWL WITH INCISED DRAGON
Guangxu period, Qing Dynasty, Ca. AD 1875-1908. An imperial porcelain bowl in yellow glaze. The lustrous glaze is historically associated with the emperor, symbolising wealth and prosperity. The incised five claw dragon is an artistic expression that can only be exclusively used by the emperor. For similar see: The Palace Museum, ?00163619-10/458. Size: 120mm x 55mm; Weight: 140g Provenance: British local private collection since 2000s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
