JAPANESE BRONZE TURTLE
Meiji Period, Ca. AD 1868 - 1912. A finely cast Japanese bronze model of a turtle, realistically rendered with meticulous detail to the shell, limbs, and textured skin. The creature’s head, tail, and legs are finely made to reflect natural movement, with incised patterns along the shell imitating the true anatomy of a turtle. Size: 80mm x 50mm; Weight: 170g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
