Ca. AD 1700 - 1900. A set of fuchi-gashira finely worked in high relief (takabori) with writhing dragons, the details crisply rendered with strong sculptural quality, signed Hirado ju Kunishige. Size: 31-35mm x 17-20mm; Weight: 30g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex Bonhams 13 May 2013, lot 525. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
