GROUP OF THREE JAPANESE TSUBA
Edo Period, Ca. AD 1603 - 1868. A set comprising a pierced iron tsuba with a stylised cloud or wave motif arranged in horizontal bars. An iron tsuba decorated with a fine concentric wave pattern (seigaiha) in relief. An iron tsuba with a detailed relief of a coiled dragon, the eyes and details subtly highlighted in gold; energetic and auspicious. Size: 70-72mm x 65-75mm; Weight: 385g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex Christies 16th May 2012, lot 213.
