CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE DISH WITH BIRDS AND FLOWERS - Mid Qing Dynasty, Ca. 18th century AD. >A famille rose porcelain dish of shallow, lobed form with a finely scalloped rim, the interior painted in soft enamel tones with a continuous floral spray inhabited by small birds in flight and perched among branches. The composition features a lively yet balanced arrangement of chrysanthemum and other seasonal blossoms in shades of iron-red, pink, yellow, and green, with slender leafy stems extending elegantly across the cavetto.Two small birds are depicted perched among the flowering branches, while a third bird is shown in flight above, adding a sense of movement and natural vitality. The enamels are applied with finesse, displaying the characteristic famille rose palette with subtle tonal gradation.
