AD 1644 - 1912. >A charming pair of Yixing stoneware teapots, each decorated with vibrant overglaze enamels, illustrating the fusion of traditional zisha pottery with later decorative techniques.The first teapot, of compressed cylindrical form with a domed cover, is painted in bright famille-verte style enamels with a lively mythical beast—likely a qilin—rendered in green, pink, and blue tones. The bold composition contrasts dynamically against the warm brown clay body, creating a striking visual effect. The squared profile and upright handle give the piece a slightly more formal, architectural presence.The second teapot, smaller and more rounded in form, features a continuous band of cobalt-blue enamel decoration depicting floral and avian motifs, including stylized phoenix-like birds amidst scrolling foliage.
