LARGE TIBETAN GILDED AND PAINTED REPOUSSE PANEL DEPICTING A DRAGON FISH - Ca. 18th - 19th century AD. > A striking repousse metal panel depicting a dynamic dragon fish rendered in high relief against a shaped rectangular ground. The creature is shown in profile with a sinuous, scaled body, bulging eyes, and a wide, open mouth issuing stylised aquatic or flame-like motifs, conveying movement and vitality. The surface is richly worked with chased detailing to define scales, fins, and facial features, while the body is heightened with gilding and accented with traces of polychrome pigments in red, blue, and black.
