TIBETAN COPPER ALLOY COLUMN SUPPORT DEPICTING AN OFFERING GODDESS - Densatil Monastery, Ca. 14th - early 15th century AD. > A cast copper alloy column support in the form of an elegantly standing offering goddess, shown frontally and raising both arms to support a circular capital above her head. The figure stands upon a lotus pedestal set on a stepped base, the petals crisply defined and lending a sense of elevation and sanctity. The goddess is adorned with elaborate jewellery including necklaces, armlets, and a tiered headdress, and wears a long, pleated skirt tied at the waist. Her torso is sensitively modelled, and her facial features are serene and composed, reflecting the refined aesthetic of Himalayan metalwork. One hand is held in a graceful gesture near the chest, while the raised arms support the architectural element above, emphasising her dual role as both devotional figure and structural support. > Provenance: Private London Collection; Ex.
