TIBETAN THANGKA OF DORJE LEGPA - Ca. 19th-20th century AD. A vivid thangka depicting the wrathful protector Dorje Legpa, shown centre with a fierce expression, bulging eyes, riding a striped tiger amidst swirling clouds and tongues of fire. He brandishes a vajra-tipped staff in his raised right hand and holds a cup in his left. His body is adorned with bone ornaments and a crown of skulls, symbolising mastery over death and illusion.
