GROUP OF ELEVEN JAPANESE TSUBA - Momoyama - Edo Period, Ca. 16th-19th century AD. A collection of eleven Japanese iron tsuba. This group demonstrates the wide stylistic range of sword fittings, featuring both openwork and solid-plate designs with carved, chiseled, and inlaid decoration. Motifs include floral scrolls, natural scenes, and abstract forms, some enhanced with traces of gilt and soft-metal inlays.
