The creature is carved with a pair of stylised wings defined by incised lines, while the curled tail and softly rounded forms lend a sense of balance and vitality. The stone is of varied white and dark mottled tone, with natural inclusions skilfully incorporated into the design, creating contrast between the lighter head and darker body.
