TURKANA FERTILITY DOLL, IKOKU - Ca. late 19th - early 20th century AD. > A fertility doll constructed of wood and organic materials, the figure adorned with strands of multicoloured glass beads, leather elements, fibre, and applied ornaments including shells and metal discs. The form is highly stylised, with emphasis on the torso and elaborate surface decoration.
