TWO DAN PASSPORT MASKS - Ca. late 19th - early 20th century AD. > A group comprising two carved wooden miniature masks of contrasting style. One has a pale, encrusted surface, its softly modelled features conveying a subdued, introspective expression; the forehead with traces of attachment. The other finely carved in dark wood, the elongated face with gently arched brows, narrow almond-shaped eyes, and a tapering chin, retaining a smooth, lustrous patina with traces of red pigment at the lips. > Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014. > > Size: 130-140mm x 60-70mm; Weight: 275g > >
