KUBA IKUL KNIFE - Ca. 20th century AD. > A finely worked Kuba ikul knife, distinguished by its elegant, elongated leaf-shaped blade and richly ornamented handle. The broad iron blade is symmetrically flared, tapering to a rounded tip, and incised with linear motifs and a central interlace pattern, demonstrating refined geometric decoration characteristic of Kuba metalwork. The lower section is mounted with a decorative collar adorned with rows of small beads in white, blue, and red tones, adding color and texture to the composition. > Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
