MATCHED PAIR OF HELLENISTIC GOLD EARRINGS WITH SPHINXES - Ca. 300 - 200 BC. A matched pair of gold earrings, each formed as a twisted hoop terminating in a beaded collar with a tapering conical base, from which rises the forepart of a sphinx with female head, nude torso, and forelegs extended.
