ROMAN CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF MINERVA AND JANIFORM HELMET IN GOLD RING - Ca. AD 300. A carnelian intaglio engraved with the head of Minerva in left profile, wearing a janiform helmet with a crested crown, and with two smaller masks below. It is mounted in a possibly later gold ring with a plain D-section hoop and a tall oval setting with a plain collar enclosing the stone.
