HEAVY BYZANTINE GOLD BRACELET WITH CENTRAL DOME AND GRANULATION - Ca. AD 1000. A gold bracelet with a broad hoop made from spiral twisted wire. The ends are gathered into collars decorated with granulation. The clasp has a large domed roundel bordered by clusters of granules, with a raised knop at the centre. Size: 64mm x 63mm; Weight: 43.4g Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a long-standing private family collection assembled between the 1960s and 2000.
