BYZANTINE GOLD AND NIELLO RING WITH BUST OF CHRIST - Ca. AD 500 - 700. A gold ring with a plain round-section hoop and a circular bezel, flanked at each side by a pair of granules. The bezel is engraved and inlaid with niello with a haloed bust of Christ raising both hands, between two six-pointed stars.
