LARGE EGYPTIAN WOODEN SARCOPHAGUS MASK - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A carved wooden mummy mask with a broad tripartite wig and an elongated false beard. The facial features include a prominent nose, full lips, and wide-set eyes beneath defined brows. The back is deeply hollowed and includes rectangular slots at the edges for attachment. Size: 600mm x 510mm; Weight: 7kg Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the French art market; Ex. VDW Private Collection, Hoofddorp, Netherlands (established before 1983).
