STUNNING EGYPTIAN WOOD MUMMY MASK - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A wood mummy mask with a stucco overlay and painted surface. The face is painted red, with almond-shaped eyes outlined in black, arched brows, a broad, straight nose, and a small, closed mouth. The head is covered by a wig painted in alternating black and yellow stripes, framing the face and falling to the chest. Below is a broad, multi-rowed collar with bands of geometric and floral ornament. The reverse is hollowed, with the wood surface left plain.
