EGYPTIAN BRONZE DAGGER WITH ROCK CRYSTAL POMMEL AND LAPIS LAZULI-INLAID GRIP - New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A bronze dagger with a long blade and a pronounced midrib, narrowing to a sharp point. The hilt flares towards the shoulders, with recessed compartments inlaid with lapis lazuli and a rock crystal pommel of flattened mushroom form. For similar see: Cairo Museum, Cat. JE 61585.
